One of the most important decisions we make as parents is whether or not to have a special blessing for our new baby. Sometimes cultural background or religious upbringing by the family will decide how this will all take place. In my experience, it’s much more meaningful if the parents of the child can make their own decisions regarding when and where their child will receive its special blessing. It will be either something that will welcome their precious little being into the world, or an event that happens years later when their child is maybe four or five years old and now welcomes a new brother or sister into the family.
One of my favourite things to do in this world is to help a family with this blessed event. And by using the word ‘blessed’, I don’t mean that it has to be a religious event at all. Many couples today see this word and think that a baptism or a christening has to be something that centres around the Bible, and honestly, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Of course, if you are looking to have a more religious event, and you don’t belong to a church, I would be more than happy to provide you with a beautiful and sacred ceremony that reflects your beliefs and values. However, I am finding that more and more couples are looking to have a ceremony that reflects their more ‘spiritual’ beliefs that they want to share with family and some close friends.
If you are interested in learning more about what I can provide for your and your family in the way of a beautiful, meaningful and intimate baby welcoming, child blessing, baptism or christening, please send me an email at email@example.com and I will send you more detailed information about what you can expect from me. Most of the ceremonies I perform are done in the home of the couple or a family member; either in their living room or the backyard (weather permitting).
I look forward to sharing my vision for your child’s most perfect and beautiful blessed event!
